New Orleans has worse crime rate than 397 other cities
A CQ Press “City Crime Rankings” list, reported by CNN, gave New Orleans was given the worst crime ranking for 2007, logging more than 19,000-plus incidents, and 209 murders. Other than murders, the other categories of crime examined include rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, theft and motor vehicle theft.
New Orleans was ranked as have the worst crime rate among 397 other cities having populations exceeding 75,000 people.
